Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and mixed martial artist who is a part of UFC. UFC within the Flyweight Division is currently fighting. Shevchenko is the older sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ and the other UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her journey as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and beat Suzane Mill at the end of the tournament by a unanimous choice. Antonina followed it up and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012 she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 it was the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she was the winner of the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final bout took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. It was an unanimous decision to win. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was in 2002 in the KFK cup of Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She took home the second round TKO fight, and the subsequent two fights at the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. The result was the record being 3-0. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA so that she could focus on the sport of kickboxing. She returned against Anissa Haddaoui on Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui's fight in a unified decision. She defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in a unanimous decision. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina utilized her strike abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina got an UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision in her first fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from her defeat and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the rear with a choking submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned her second fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights, defeating Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
